For Parents
Partners in the Journey
As a parent, there is nothing more meaningful than watching your student grow into who God created them to be. At The Impact Collective, we know sending your child on a mission trip is a step of faith, for them and for you. That is why we treat every student like family and every trip like a sacred opportunity. We are not just creating travel experiences; we are seeking to shape lives for eternity.
What You Need to Know
Our Heart for Your Student
We understand the responsibility and privilege of stewarding your student’s time, trust, and safety. Our team is made up of coaches, mentors, and ministry leaders who care deeply about the students we serve. Our mission trips are designed with spiritual growth, leadership development, and cultural engagement at the core–all with structure, purpose, and care.
Whether it is your student’s first mission trip or their fifth, you can feel confident knowing they will be guided, supported, and encouraged every step of the way.
Safety and Supervision
Your Student Matters to Us
Your student’s safety is our top priority. All trips are led by trained mission staff with years of experience working with student-athletes and leading cross-cultural service trips. We maintain low student-to-leader ratios, conduct background checks on all adult leaders, and work only with trusted ministry partners on the ground.
You are not sending your student alone—they are being sent with a team that is prepared, responsible, and rooted in faith.
We provide:
- 24/7 adult supervision
- Emergency contact systems in place
- Pre-trip safety training
- Careful transportation and lodging logistics
- Optional trip insurance
Growth that Lasts
What Mission Trips Do for the Heart
These trips are about far more than service, they are about transformation. Every part of the experience is designed to help your student grow spiritually, emotionally, and relationally. From worship and teaching to hands-on service and reflection, your student will be challenged to step outside their comfort zone, encounter God in new ways, and return home with a renewed sense of purpose and deeper faith.
Mission trip outcomes often include:
- Stronger personal faith
- Greater empathy and cultural awareness
- Improved communication and leadership skills
- Lifelong friendships rooted in Christ
- Clarity in calling and identity in Jesus
We are not just preparing students for a trip, we are helping them prepare for their calling and mission in life.
Staying Connected
Communication Throughout the Journey
We want you to feel informed and included throughout your student’s trip. Before departure, your student will receive detailed trip information, packing lists, and schedules to share with you. During the trip, we provide regular updates (photos, stories, and highlights) through secure platforms and/or social media so you can follow along and see how God is working.
We also provide:
- Emergency contact procedures
- Staff contact info for ongoing questions
- Post-trip reflections from students and leaders
We keep you in the loop, because your peace of mind matters.
How to Prepare Your Student
Practical and Prayerful Steps
Here’s how you can help your student get ready for a successful mission experience:
- Encourage them to engage in pre-trip devotionals and team meetings.
- Help gather necessary documents (passport, ID, signed forms).
- Support their fundraising efforts or connect them with sponsors.
- Pray with them and over them as the trip approaches.
- Talk about expectations, culture, and what it means to serve like Jesus.
- Trust the process — God is doing more than you can see.
Your support makes all the difference. When students feel backed by their parents, they step into these experiences with greater courage and clarity.
