Serving at the Crossroads of Culture and Need
Step into the vibrant and complex heart of Los Angeles, where wealth and poverty, creativity and hardship, often exist side by side. Behind the energy of the city’s skyline are countless stories of struggle and hope, immigrant families pursuing stability, youth navigating broken systems, and communities seeking light in the midst of hardship. This trip invites your team to serve and learn in an urban landscape that reflects both the beauty and the brokenness of humanity.
Faith and Renewal in the Shadow of the Sierras
Through sports ministry, youth programs, and community partnerships, your team will engage with local churches and outreach organizations serving neighborhoods affected by homelessness, addiction, and economic inequality. Using the common ground of sport, you’ll bring joy, build relationships, and share Christ’s compassion through presence, encouragement, and care.
After your week in the city, you’ll head north to Yosemite National Park for a spiritual formation retreat: a time to rest, worship, and reflect in one of the most awe-inspiring settings in the world. Amid towering granite cliffs and cascading waterfalls, your team will process the lessons of service, faith, and community.
